On Thursday evening, August 28 at 6:30 pm at the Barnesville Public Library Annex, 600 North Chestnut St. in Barnesville, a public meeting will be held to inform area residents of strategies to protect their water resources.  Presenters will include Nathan Johnson representing the Ohio Environmental Council and Dr. Julie Weatherington Rice from the consulting firm Bennett and Williams of Westerville Ohio. A question and answer period will follow. Sponsors include the Concerned Barnesville Area Residents, a coalition of area citizens focused on regional health and safety concerns, and Captina Conservancy, the local land trust formed to protect the Captina creek watershed. Both groups are non-partisan and seek to collaborate with all parties in their efforts.
