Cubs Blank Reds

CINCINNATI (AP) - Travis Wood and the Chicago Cubs beat Johnny Cueto and the Cincinnati Reds 3-0 last night. 
 
Wood pitched six innings of two-hit ball against his former team for his first win in two months. 
 
Cincinnati was shut out for the 12th time this season. Cueto struck out eight in 6 1-3 innings in his second straight loss after winning seven consecutive decisions.

Tribe Outlasts Sox

CHICAGO (AP) - Zach Walters hit a two-run home run in the 10th inning, lifting the Indians to an 8-6 victory over the sliding White Sox last night.

 
Bryan Shaw pitched 2 1-3 scoreless innings in relief for the win, keeping Cleveland 5 1/2 games behind Kansas City in the AL Central. 
 
The teams square off again tonight on 93.5 WBNV. First pitch comes your way at 8:10.
