Ravens Rally to Beat Browns

CLEVELAND (AP) - Justin Tucker kicked a 32-yard field goal as time expired, giving the Baltimore Ravens a 23-21 win over the Cleveland Browns yesterday. Cleveland's Brian Hoyer completed 19 of 25 passes for 290 yards. The Browns failed to capitalize on several chances to put the Ravens away in the second half. Cleveland missed a field goal and had one blocked.

Tribe Tops Twins; Still Alive

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Cleveland Indians didn't lose any ground in the playoff chase yesterday with a 7-2 win over the Minnesota Twins. Corey Kluber struck out a career-high 14 hitters for the second straight start. Michael Bourn and Michael Brantley each had three hits for the Indians, who have won five of six. Cleveland is 3 1-2 games behind the second Wild Card spot, and is home to the Royals for three-plus games beginning tonight at 7:05 on 93.5 WBNV.

Cincy Crushes Cards; St. Louis Still Clinches

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The St. Louis Cardinals clinched a playoff spot yesterday, and then lost 7-2 to Jay Bruce and the Cincinnati Reds. Bruce hit two of Cincinnati's four homers as the Reds snapped a six-game losing streak. Todd Frazier and Devin Mesoraco also went deep. Reds right-hander Alfredo Simon allowed two runs and seven hits in six innings.

Bengals Improve to 3-0

CINCINNATI (AP) - The Cincinnati Bengals stayed undefeated with a 33-7 win over the Tennessee Titans yesterday. The Bengals head into their bye week with their best start in eight years. A few hours before kickoff, the Titans learned that kicker Rob Bironas had died overnight in a one-car crash in Nashville. He'd been released in March after his ninth season with Tennessee.
