GUERNSEY COUNTY, Ohio -- The Guernsey County Sheriff's Office continued its efforts to crack down on marijuana growers with a fly-over on Tuesday.
According to Sheriff Mike McCauley, members of his office scoured the county by ground and by air on Tuesday. A number of suspected marijuana plants were recovered in Cambridge Township during the county-wide sweep. No arrests have yet been made, but an active investigation into the cultivation continues.
In an unrelated case, deputies and detectives also recovered several marijuana plants during a sweep in Spencer Township last week. In both cases, the street value of the suspected marijuana was not released.
Sheriff McCauley said that the seizures are part of his office's ongoing marijuana eradication efforts in the county.
