CAMBRIDGE, Ohio -- The body of a missing Senecaville man was found by the authorities on Monday night just after 6:00pm in Cambridge.
Twenty-six-year-old Raymond E. Nicholson II had been missing since early Saturday morning. He was last seen leaving the Park Circle Cafe in Cambridge on his motorcycle at approximately 1:00am that morning.
Officer Dale Morris of the Cambridge Police located the victim by checking the area of the last known coordinates of Nicholson's cell phone. Morris found where Nicholson had wrecked his motorcycle off of Morton Avenue between Chapman and Orme Avenues on the east side of town. The bike apparently jumped over the southside curb and rolled down into a ravine towards the railroad tracks. Both Nicholson and the bike were hidden from the view of bypassers by a cluster of trees and thick brush. First responders from the Cambridge Fire Department had to use chain saws to clear the brush to get to the body. Guernsey County Coroner Dr. Sandra Schubert declared the victim dead at the scene.
Details of the accident are not available as investigators work to piece together a scenario of events; however, it is known that Nicholson did suffer from a medical condition that caused black-outs. An official report is pending.
