The Guernsey-Noble Safety Council will meet
The program topic is Waste Minimization, which will be presented by Brent Hylton, EOHS Manager for Colgate-Palmolive, Cambridge. Brent has been active for many years in working to find ways to recycle, re-use, or otherwise minimize the amount of waste that the facility produces. He will illustrate some examples that even small companies can do this to help effect cost savings.
We hope to see you there and we invite you to bring your friends from other companies or representatives from your safety team.
The Guernsey-Noble Safety Council will meet Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 8 am - 10 am at the BWC office in the WalMart plaza on Southgate Parkway. Please note that this is a two-hour meeting. This is extraordinary training. Members are encouraged to bring friends and or co-workers.
Bethany Hayes, the Director of Public Safety for OUZ and Zane State College, will be presenting “Responding to Critical Incidents/ Active Killer Situations ALICE Training”.
Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate (ALICE) concepts provide insight as to what to do during critical incidents and active killer situations until law enforcement arrives on-scene. The program focuses on putting survival options into your mind beforehand instead of trying to formulate these under extreme stress. The program also focuses on crime prevention and situational awareness efforts.
The Guernsey-Noble Safety Council will meet tomorrow, May 28th at 8 am at the BWC Office in the Walmart shopping plaza. This month's topic is Drugs in the Workplace, and the speakers will be representatives from the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office.
