2006 Press Broadcasters Awards

The AVC News and Sports departments brought home several awards from the annual Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters awards ceremony held in Columbus on May 21st.

Reuben Perdue was named Best Sportscaster in the small market category.


The sports department also placed first in the Outstanding Sports Operation category.

Yourradioplace.com placed first as Best Website for the 5th year in a row, the only winning website since the inception of the award.

Mike Partin won first place in the Best News Anchor division.

Mike McKay placed second in the Best News Anchor division.

The News team placed second in the Outstanding News Operation category.

We also placed second in the Best Regularly Scheduled News Category, and For Election 2005 coverage

2005 Press Broadcasters Awards

The AVC News and Sports department picked up more awards at the 2005 Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters Awards Banquet. AVC competed against larger stations across Ohio including Akron-Canton, Youngstown, Toledo, Dayton and Mansfield. AVC News was awarded with the BEST WEBSITE IN OHIO award for the 4th straight year!
