Edith L. Carsten, age 68 of Cambridge, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at her residence. She was born on March 21, 1945 in Guernsey County, a daughter of the late C. Hollis George and Della M. (Rankin) George Simpson. Mrs. Carsten was a 1963 Graduate of Madison High School. A retired PCA at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, she enjoyed NASCAR, puzzles, line dancing and riding her trike. She was a member of the V.F.W. post 2901 Ladies Aux., the Eagles Lodge in Caldwell and Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center. She attended the Full Gospel Church. Edith is preceded in death by: her parents; husband Donald C. Carsten in 1999; two brothers, Ellis and Donald E. George and a sister Beulah Love. Surviving are: her children, Tonya Tetirick, Stephanie (Bruce) Jeffery, Glenna (Gary) Rominger, and Hollie (Kris) Stage and son Abraham (Jenny) Tetirick all of Cambridge; sister Vera (Robert) DeSelms of Boliver; three brothers, Khale George of Cambridge, Harold (Elaine) George of Barnesville, and Delmar (Barb) George of Cambridge; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Monday, May 20 from 11am to 1 pm at Bundy-Law Funeral Home with the service at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Sunsetview Cemetery in Londonderry. Liela Lee Patterson, age 77 of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at her home. She was born on February 24, 1936 in Lore City, a daughter of the late Alexander A. Peach and Gertrude H. (Shaffer) Peach. Mrs. Patterson was a member of the Birmingham Methodist Church, the Freeport Chapter 319 Eastern Star, a past president of the Cambridge Eagles and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. 2901. Liela was a devoted homemaker. She also worked as a teachers aide at Golden Rule School and a Nurse's aide at a nursing home. She enjoyed reading, feeding her birds and watching her grandkids and crime and cooking shows. Surviving are: husband Richard "Dick" Patterson of the home. They were married on December 22, 1959. LuAnn (Warden) Danford, 58, of Salesville passed away Sunday (May 12, 2013) at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 8, 1955 in Cambridge and was the daughter of Belva (Lashley) Warden of Senecaville and the late William Warden. LuAnn was the Director of Nursing at the Guernsey County Health Dept. for the past 20 years and had previously worked at the former Good Samaritan Hospital and the former Guernsey Memorial Hospital. She was a 1973 graduate of Zane Trace High School, and earned her Registered Nursing degree at Belmont Technical College. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ohio Spinners and Weavers, former Peacemakers Quilt Guild. LuAnn enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, canning and playing with her grandchildren. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed all family activities. She is survived by her husband Jeffery N. Danford whom she married October 25, 1975; two daughters, Jessica (Scott) Mackey and Katie (Cale) Wagstaff both of Salesville; one brother Steve (Janet) Warden of Dover; three grandchildren, Neil and Quincy Mackey and Gracie Wagstaff; best friend Debbie St. Clair of Lore City; several nieces, nephews and her Health Department family. Clara F. Gadd, age 85 of Byesville, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 1, 1927 in Caldwell, a daughter of the late Jacob B. Phelps and Alice (Morris) Phelps. She retired after 30 years from the State Hospital as a supervisor. She was a devoted mother who loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, reading and spending time on her computer. Surviving are: her children, Cynthia (Jerry) Teter of Cambridge, Buddy Charles (Micker) Gadd Sr. of Murfreesboro, TN, Thomas Jacob (Marcia) Gadd of San Diego, Janice (Bob) Nelson of Owosso, Mich., Denise (Thomas) Buchanan of Dandridge, TN, Patrick J. Gadd of Byesville, and Sharon (Rodney) Gibs of Columbus; sister, Pearl Egnot of Canal Fulton, a sister-in-law Marie McFarlane of Byesville, fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Walden Ray Gadd in August 2000; an infant son Wallace Gadd; son-in-law, Chuck Scott; two brothers, Bill Phelps and Enoch Phelps; and three sisters, Ruby Enos, Phoebe Larrick, and Ruth Ann Thompson. Anna S. Vyloscik, age 105, formerly of Belle Valley and a resident of Akron, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at her home. She was born February 28, 1908 in Kings Mine, Guernsey County, Ohio a daughter of the late Simon and Susie Sichina. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Vyloscik was a member of the Belle Valley United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Michael J. Vyloscik, who died February 20, 1980; one sister, Elizabeth Hickel and one brother, John Sichiner. Surviving is one daughter, Linda S. (Stanley) Grywalski of Akron, with whom she made her home; two granddaughters, Aimee E. (David) Grywalski of Akron and Susanne L. Grywalski of Akron; and one great-grandson Matthew of Akron. She enjoyed shopping for antiques, cross stitching, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Her husband, Gary Lee McClintock, died August 13, 2004. They were married January 12, 1964. Surviving are three daughters: Katherine (Leonard Bodemann, Jr.) Collart of Lore City, Sheri (Michael) Alloway of Cambridge, and Stephanie (Charles) Beaver of Cambridge; a sister, Joyce Ilene Sears of Lancaster; seven grandchildren: Lindsay Collart, Joseph Collart, Kyle Wells, McKenzie Wells, Janson Alloway, Charles Beaver, Jr., and Sidney Beaver. In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven Sears and Charles Sears; a sister, Dolores Fleming, and a son-in-law, Gregory J. Wells.

Jack Tilton, 54, of Cambridge passed away Tuesday (May 7, 2013) at his home. He was born February 1, 1959 in Cambridge and was the son of the late Austin and Lena Mae (Spurrier) Tilton. Jack was a truck driver for National Freight for the past eight years and formerly drove for Alternative Transport. He was a 1977 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, and member of Eagles Aerie #386. Jack loved farming...especially his cows, spoiling his grandchildren, his dog Joe, spending time with his kids and attending tractor and truck pulls. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Larry Tilton; three sisters, Charlotte Tilton, Judy Tedrick and Barbara Fry; brother-in-law Clem Slay. He is survived by his wife Joy A. Wadena C. Keiser, 90 of Cambridge, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Specialty Select Hospitals in Zanesville. She was born on March 8, 1923 in Guernsey County, the daughter of the late Oren Murphy and Mary (Kuntz) Murphy Bates. Mrs. Keiser was a member of the Unity Presbyterian Church. She was a legal secretary for over 60 years the later part of her career was working for Atty. Neil Tostenson. Wadena was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Charles David Keiser in 1980. Surviving are her son Jeffrey Keiser of Worthington, grandson Robert David Keiser of Worthington and a step-sister Faye Hilligas of Mentor. A funeral service will be held at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home at 2 pm. Rev. Dean Eldon Woodford, age 81, of Dexter City, Ohio and Hazard, Kentucky, passed away Sunday morning, May 5th 2013, in Hazard, Kentucky. Dean was born in Noble County to Lawrence and Fern Woodford on March 18, 1932. He graduated from Caldwell High School in 1950 and married his sweetheart in 1954. He lived in Texas, Massachusetts, and Illinois before returning to Ohio and worked at varied occupations including insurance sales and delivery services. Dean possessed strong mechanical skills and enjoyed working with his hands. He was a loyal member of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 55 years and had served as a congregation elder in more than one city. Dean is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Fern; his wife of 51 years Hopa Lucille McAuley Woodford; three brothers Clare, Earl, and Norman Woodford; and three sisters Beneva Williams, Janella Robinson, and Nyla Woodford. Dean is survived by his sister Avanell Wharton; three sons David (Ann Marie), Mark, and Michael (Argia); two daughters Angela (Tim) Loupe and Debra (Phillip) St. John; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. David D. "Dave" Harper, 60, of Cambridge passed away Sunday (May 5, 2013) at Riverside Methodist Hospital following a tough battle with cancer. He was born December 1, 1952 in Cambridge and was the son of the late Ralph and JoAnn (Hale) Harper. Mr. Harper was a truck driver for Area Transportation. He loved working on cars and watching his grandkids run around. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry and Benny Harper; one granddaughter Harley Cobler. Teresa Marie "Treece" Kennedy, 53, of Byesville passed away Saturday (May 4, 2013) at her home following a lengthy illness surrounded by family and friends. She was born November 14, 1959 in Cambridge and was the daughter of Eugene (Dottie) McElroy of Cambridge and the late Joyce (Boyer) Bates. She was a 1978 graduate of Cambridge High School and was employed as a home health aide. Most recently working with Cambridge Home Health. She enjoyed gardening, reading, spending time with family and friends and raising her dogs. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her step-=father Larry Bats and her brother David McElroy. She is survived by her husband Jay Kennedy whom she married May 3, 1995; one son Scott Neff and fiancé Vanessa of Byesville; one grandson Noah; special aunt Rita Fultz of Byesville and two special friends, Deloris Chalfant and Nancy Parsons. Paul M. King, age 79, of Caldwell, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at his home. He was born February 22, 1934 in Noble County, a son of the late Robert R. and Minnie B. Bates King. Mr. King was a 1953 graduate of Summerfield High School and a 1955 graduate of Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan where he studied Bible and Psychology. He was a lifelong farmer having owned a cattle and dairy operation for many years. He retired after 28 years with Secure Test in Parkersburg, West Virginia where he was employed as a security guard for the former Mahle Plant in Caldwell. He was a Methodist by faith, a member of the Carlisle Grange and the East Union Coffee Club. He had received a Fifty Year Award from Farm Credit Services. Paul enjoyed working on lawn mowers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Joseph Q. King in 2004 and Steven M. King in 2005; four sisters, Freda Wharton, Lela Fogle, Glenna Glasgow and Mary Lou Zents; and three brothers Harold King, Carl King and Gene King. Surviving is his wife Rosa B. Clark King, whom he married July 4, 1956; three sons Roy Lee (Naomi) King of Caldwell, Eldon Paul King of the home, and Joseph Zedrick (Margaret) King of Sarahsville; one daughter Bonnie Mae Cooper and fiancé Stephen Flynn of Zanesville; two brothers, Ancil (Betty) King of McConnelsville and Arthur (Alice) King of Eaton; six grandchildren, Jessica (Kyle) McAlarney, Kyla King, Alicia King, Bradley Cooper, Emily Cooper, and Holly Cooper; three step-grandchildren, Billy, Andy and Sarah Hickman; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a 1975 graduate of Shenandoah High School, and she was employed for 13 years by the Noble County Jail as a corrections officer. She loved her family, and she enjoyed spending time with her children and her grandchildren. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her special friend, Louise Mitchell, whom she cared for for over ten years. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Jerry D. Wheeler, whom she married June 25, 1977; one daughter, Jamie L. (Jamie R.) Hendershot of Caldwell; one son, Jeremy L. (Amy) Wheeler of Hilliard; one sister, Vickie J. Donna Lee Saultz Stephenson, 88, formerly of Pageland, SC died Tuesday April 30, 2013 in Efland, NC after a brief illness. She was born on April 3, 1925 in Buffalo, OH to Raymond and Verna Saultz. Donna married her childhood sweetheart, Carl C. Stephenson and they celebrated their 61st anniversary before his death. A graduate of Buffalo High School, she worked for the Federal Government before becoming a homemaker to raise three sons. The family moved to Pageland, SC in 1979. Mrs. Stephenson was a member of Buffalo United Methodist Church in Buffalo, OH and later Zion United Methodist Church in Pageland, SC. She held a variety of administrative positions in the church in Buffalo including Financial Secretary. Donna loved her time in her Sunday school class and the Seniors Group. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by two sons, James F. Stephenson (Deborah) of Efland, NC and Jeffrey D. Stephenson of Bluffton, SC, two grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a brother, Glendon K. (Helen) Saultz of Enon, OH and two sisters, Elaine Wayt of Newark, OH and Virginia Terry of Cambridge, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl, her parents, her eldest son, Carl C. Stephenson Jr. and his wife, Kimberly Jo of Cambridge, OH, a sister, Avanell Saultz of Buffalo, OH and an infant granddaughter, Amy Stephenson. Kenneth Allen Motil, 56, of Byesville passed away Monday (April 28, 2013) at his home. He was born May 26, 1956 in Cambridge and was the son of the late Steve A. and Catherine H. (Fotta) Motil Sr. Kenny was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Oxford Mining Co. for over 30 years and was an owner of the former Korte's Tavern for 10 years. He was a 1974 graduate of Guernsey Catholic Central and attended Ohio University in Athens. He was a member of the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Byesville, a member of Byesville VFW post #3760 where he had served on the board and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant sister Joanne. He is survived by one step-son, Paul David Hahn of Columbus; two step- daughters, Helen (Matt) Hewison and Hope (Dave) Schaffer both of Byesville; three brothers, Steve (Pam) Motil Jr. of Pleasant City, Robert J. (Sue) Motil of Westerville and Joseph (Anita) Motil of Roswell, GA.; three sisters, Marge (Ed) Burik of Westerville, Catherine (Tom) Welch of Cambridge and Cheryl (Ronnie) Carr of Senecaville; two step-granddaughters, Hailey and Hunter Hewison ; eleven nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and one great great nephew. Jeanne Eschbaugh age 57 of Columbus, OH, formerly Cambridge, OH passed away on Sunday night, April 28th, 2013 at Crown Pointe Care Center in Columbus. She was born January 6th, 1956 in Caldwell, OH a daughter of the late Clinton and Sarah Mae Nichelson Willey. Jeanne was a 1974 graduate of Caldwell High School, where she was a cheerleader and member of the marching band. She loved all things Motown and enjoyed listening to other artists such as: the Bee Gees, Elvis and Michael Jackson. She was a Cincinnati Reds, Bengals, Ohio State, and Caldwell Redskins fan. Jeanne will be remembered for her patience and compassion towards others - no matter the situation, she always tried to put others first. She touched the lives of so many people throughout her lifetime and made an impression that her family, friends, and acquaintances have never forgotten. Jeanne was a devoted mother, who's creativity and loving ways will be carried on from generation to generation. She was diagnosed over 20 years ago with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and will be known for her positive attitude while battling the disease. Jeanne’s strength and will to live inspired her daughters to create a fundraising team for the MS Society’s “Walk MS”. Since 2002, they have walked at this annual event to raise money in honor of their mother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sisters Joyce Davis and Joann Stobbs. She will be loved and missed dearly by her family, 2 daughters Jennifer (John) Jordan and Jessica (Jared) Schwendeman; 2 grandchildren Ella and Sage; 3 Sisters Joy Cunningham, Jewell Dovenbarger and June Hayes; 3 brothers Darwin Willey, David Willey, and Don Willey; and her children’s father Fred Eschbaugh. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends. John R. "Butch" Mirdik, 73 of Byesville, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 30, 1939 in Cambridge, a son of the late John Mirdik and Freda (Miller) Mirdik. Mr. Mirdik was a member of the Solid Rock Wesleyan Church in Cambridge. He worked in the Auto body repair business for over 60 years. Spending most of his career at Ford Motor Company, Jefferis Motors and in his own garage. Butch was preceded in death by: his wife, Kathleen R. (Hoopingarner) Mirdik; his parents; one daughter; Vicky Byers, one granddaughter; Bethany Shaffer and a brother Jerry Mirdik. He leaves: six daughters, Kathy Mirdik of Cambridge, Nancy (David) Walters of Cambridge, Peggy Hutzel of Cambridge, Stacy (Michael) Morris of Cambridge, Dottie Mirdik of Zanesville, and Annie Mirdik of Zanesville; eight grandchildren, Jordan Walters, Brandon Shaffer, Emilee Mirdik, Kyle Caplinger, Johnny Byers, Ben Walters, Cody Hutzel and Owen Walters. Betty Lee (Wilson ) Reed, 84 , of Senecaville passed peacefully at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Friday (April 26, 2013) surrounded by her family. She was born December 27, 1928 in Buffalo and was the daughter of the late Edgel and Oma (Steele) Wilson. Mrs. Reed was formerly employed at Universal Pottery Tile Plant. She was co-owner with her husband of the former Reed's Drive In near Senecaville. She was a member of Harmony Lutheran Church in Buffalo where she served on the board and was a member of the Lutheran Ladies Association. She was also a member of Methodist Ladies Association, Stop Nine Church of Christ Bible Study, and Country Friends Homemakers. She enjoyed attending activities at the Robert T. Secrest Senior Center, gardening, working in her yard, spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids and talking on the phone with all of her friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence H. "Kay" Reed whom she married March 1, 1947 and passed away October 17, 2006; two brothers, Ralph and Dick. She was born November 15, 1928, in Caldwell, daughter of the late Hubert and Shelda Grace Davis Hill. She was employed as a waitress for the former Robey’s Coffee Shoppe in Caldwell for many years, and she was a member of the First Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading, horses, and shopping. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Terry Romnosky, who died May 11, 1979; two brothers, Bobby Hill and Richard Hill; and infant twin sisters. Surviving are her husband, Mike Romnosky; one daughter, Diana L. U. Willis Leep Jr., 81 of Cambridge, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the home of his daughter. He was born on April 7, 1932 in Prestonsburg, KY, the son of the late Ursel Leep Sr. and Reba (Lafferty) Leep. Mr. Leep served in the United States Navy during the Korean War on U.S.S.. Dixie. Upon returning home he joined the Cambridge Police Force for eleven years then drove truck until retiring. After that he went to work at Buckeye Guard Service and was also a part time Bailiff in Judge Ellwood's Court. He was also a member of the 10th and Clairmont Church of Christ and the Byesville V.F.W. Willis is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Anita, a sister Cheryl, and a brother-in-law Kenneth Cronin. Surviving are: his wife Hazel Irene (Cronin) Leep of the home, son Ursel (Pam) Leep III of Sonora, and daughter Nancy (Kevin) Robinson of Cambridge; five grandaughters Sabrina, Renee, Jenny, Angel, and Michelle and three step-grandsons Scott, Michael and Joshua, eleven great grandchildren, a sister Barbara (Ron) Johnson, brothers-in-law Russell (Sally) Cronin, James Cronin and David Cronin; a sister-in-law Darlene (Gary) Meiser, and several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters Brianne and Brittnee, whom she enjoyed watching them cheerleading. She also enjoyed spending time with her co-workers and their breakfast get-togethers. Sandy was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Huffstutler was a homemaker and previously worked at Randall Plastics for 20 years. She was a graduate of Summerfield High School. She loved all animals especially her dogs, cats and birds. She enjoyed watching Western and Law & Order, and spending time with her grandchildren. Norbert S. Crum age 93 of Sarahsville, OH passed away Thursday April 25th, 2013 at the Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell, OH. He was born March 13th, 1920 in Sarahsville, a son of the late Elijah and Cecelia Schockling Crum. Norbert served and protected his nation in the US Army during WWII, where he earned multiple Bronze Stars for his actions. He was a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Carlisle,OH, the Summerfield American Legion Post #415 and the Caldwell VFW Post #4721. He owned and operated his family farm for many years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Esther Arnold Crum, whom he married May 14th, 1947 and who passed away June 5th, 1992; 5 sisters Alberta Hohman, Dolores Heil, Infant Ruth Crum, Mary Rose Hohman and Margaret Schafer. He was loved and will be missed by his family, 3 daughters Elaine (Butch) Baer of Lancaster, OH, Marilyn Harding of Marietta, OH and Linda Wilson of Ashville, OH; 6 sons Richard (Juanita) Crum of Lowell, OH, Bill (Shelia) Crum of Ashville, Eugene (Connie) Crum of Byesville, OH, Robert (Ida) Crum of Massillon, OH, Ronald (Nancy) Crum of Sarahsville and Dale (Kristy) Crum of Caldwell; 25 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; 1 sister Joann (Charles) Zwick of Caldwell. She was born May 3, 1940 near Olive Green, Ohio, a daughter of the late Donald Rex and Martha Marian Coyle Harmon. She had worked for many years at Guernsey Industries in Cambridge. Jody L. Pickenpaugh Bice age 35 of Caldwell, OH passed away Sunday April 21st, 2013 in Cambridge, OH as a result of an auto accident. She was born May 9th, 1977 in Zanesville, OH a daughter of Earl and Rita Williams Pickenpaugh of Caldwell. Jody was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Caldwell and was proud to have been a very active foster parent. She was the owner and operator of Jody’s Jym in Caldwell as well as the instructor for the NCO Rebels Competition Teams. JoJo will always be remembered for her wonderful smile and all those little children she taught to dance and perform. Her teams were always among the best most recently the Rebels had won 3 National Titles at the Arnold Classic. They also won the National Title at the 2013 Hard Rockin’ National Cheer and Dance Championship. She worked so hard with her teams and over the years received many awards for their performances. In addition to her parents, she was loved and will be missed by her family, husband Duane A. Bice of the home, whom she married September 20th, 2003; 2 very special foster children; sister Kim (David) Warner of Summerfield, OH; brother Ed (Kelly) Pickenpaugh of Caldwell; several nieces and nephews Kendra and Jacob Warner, Patrick (Vanessa), Sara and Blake Pickenpaugh; great nephew Luke. She was born September 21, 1924 in Sharon, OH a daughter of the late Alice Huston Marquis McAdams and Cash Marquis. Frances was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian Church. She grew up in Sharon and graduated from the former Forest Grove High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards, fishing and taking care of her family. She was a loving and caring wife and mother. Frances had a special bond with her grandsons. As they were growing up, she seldom missed their basketball and baseball games. She was proud of their achievements. She didn’t get the chance to spend as much time as she would have liked with her great-grandchildren, as they lived in Georgia. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John Kuntz, whom she married June 29, 1945 and who passed away October 18, 1979; an infant grandson and 1 sister Nell Watson. She was loved and will be missed by her family, daughter Cheryl (Laverne) Wentworth of Caldwell; 2 grandsons John (Tracy) Wentworth of Suwanee, GA and Mark (Ashley) Wentworth of Woodstock, GA; 5 great-grandchildren Madison, Halle, Drew, Paige and Lane. Clyde E. "June" Barnett, 82  of  Cumberland passed away 4/17/2013.

Clyde E. “June” Barnett Jr., 83, of Cumberland passed away Wednesday (April 17, 2013) at his home. He was born March 12, 1930 in Guernsey County and was the son of the late Clyde and Mary (Stevenoir) Barnett Sr. Mr. Barnett retired from Ferro Alloy after 30 years of service. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Buffalo VFW#8040, and Belle Valley Legion Am Vets #821. He enjoyed hunting and his dog Ruby. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Lucille “Dot” (Smith) Barnett whom he married February 23, 1953 and passed away April 23, 1992; one son Dave Barnett of Ava; six brothers, Emil, Dick, Bill, Jack, Oss and Herb Barnett; two sisters, Earline Dettra and Mickey Clark. He is survived by one son, Clyde “Kink” Barnett of Cumberland; five daughters, Denise (Larry) Cross, Jackie (George) Chesar, Sandy (Ted) Gress, Leah (Bill) Leek and Alice (Jeff) Hayes, all of Cumberland; one sister Kay (Robert) Dudley of Byesville; nine grandchildren, Scott Cross, Misty (Donovan) Wigington, Craig Cross, Michelle (Eric) Kafury, Kristine Gress (Bill Harper), Eric Gress (Kimmie Keith), Austyn Leek, Baylee Leek and Jessica Cutlip; six great grandchildren. Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will be Saturday at 12:00 p.m. with Evang. Woody Biggs officiating.
