Gerald W. Smith
Gerald W. Smith, 89, of Senecaville passed away Sunday (September 1. 2013) at his home.

He was born January 14, 1924 in Portage County and was the son of the late John and Edith Smith.

Mr. Smith retired from Goodyear after 40 years of service. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, a member of Buffalo VFW #3760, Eagles #386 and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary (Boyes) Smith, whom he married October 5, 1967; two sons, John (Donna) Smith Jr. of Rootstown and Terry (Nicole) High of Cambridge; one daughter Carla (Kenny) Snyder of Senecaville; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

A celebration of Mr. Smiths' life will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 7, 2013 at Buffalo VFW with Rev. Tom Matus officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Guernsey, P.O. Box 1165, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
