Emily (Wozniak) Golmitz, 83, of Cambridge formerly of Pleasant City passed away Tuesday (October 29, 1013) at Autumn Healthcare.

She was born August 23, 1930 in Mabscott, WV and was the daughter of the late August Wozniak and Antonia (Tometzak) Maddy.

Emily was the former owner and operator of the Airport Inn and had previously worked at Hamilton Beach, Westinghouse, RCA and Vic's restaurant in Lore City as a young girl and after retirement.

She was a member of St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic Church, a member of VFW #2901 Auxiliary and a graduate of Cambridge High School.

Her hobby was singing, she sang with several local bands including the Polka Gems and she loved spending time with her family. Emily never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father, Joe Maddy; husband, Andy Golmitz Jr. whom she married June 26, 1948 and passed away March 17, 1992; a daughter, Marlene Hayes; two grandsons, Donnie Clendenning and Jimmy Hayes; five brothers, Walter, Billy, Mitchell, Chester and Stanley; four sisters, Irene Kayfes, Janie Keesee, Virginia Gust and Adella Boroski; special friend Bill Zayac.

She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Brown of Byesville and Kathy (Chris) Channell of Senecaville; six grandchildren, David Clendenning (Carla), Darin (Lillian) Clendenning, Denise Brown (Bryan), Heidi (Mike) Hannum, Eric (Callie) Channell and Jason Hayes; 11 great grandchildren, Coular, Austin, Amber, Brooke and Garrett Clendenning, Ali (Adam) McElroy, Keely and Riley Blancett, Jack and Nova Lee Edwards, Crosby Channell and two great great grandchildren, Cohen Hill and Brinley McElroy and fiancé Homer Earle of Cambridge.

Calling hours will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday with Fr. Robert Borer officiating.

Burial will be in Guernsey Memory Gardens.
