Agnes E. “Sunny” Otterstedt, age 97 of Cambridge, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Red Carpet Health Care Center. She was born on February 21, 1916 in Utica, N.Y. a daughter of the late Theodore D’Aprix and Beatrice F. (Furrs) D’Aprix.
Mrs. Otterstedt was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in New Port Richey, FL, and a long time former member of the Kimbolton United Methodist Church.
She was a former member of Liberty Grange, Valley Grange, Pomona Grange, and National Grange, she was a Junior Deputy for the Ohio State Grange, she organized the Guernsey County Junior Grange in the early ‘70s. Agnes was a county chairperson and started the first walk-a-thon for March of Dimes. She was a member of the IFYE Foundation, and Suncast Social Club, she volunteered in the Calusa Elementary New Port Richey, FL,1st and 2nd grades with reading, and a former 4-H leader of the Kimbolton Blue Bonnetts.
Mrs. Otterstedt was a clerk at Bonham’s Department Store and had a throw off paper route for the Daily Jeffersonian.
Surviving are children, Judith J. (William) Beam of Cambridge, Janice Joy (William) Ramage of Heath, and son Allan E. (Annie) Otterstedt of Coshocton; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Beatrice D’Aprix, husband Elmer B. Otterstedt, son Keith D. Otterstedt, foster daughter Barbara Schiele.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home from 12 pm to 2 pm with the service at 2 pm. Rev. Sturman Moore will officiate the service with burial following in Northwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Guernsey / P.O. Box 1165 / Cambridge, Ohio 43725 or an animal shelter of choice. Her online guest book may be viewed and signed at www.bundy-lawfuneralhome.com.
