Amos Burdette Haugh, 86, of Byesville passed away Wednesday (April 23, 2014) at his home.

He was born November 12, 1927 in Black Diamond and was the son of the late Robert and Blanche (Stowe) Haugh.

Amos retired from the former Vanadium after 37 years of service. He was Methodist by faith and currently attended Bethlehem Church and had previously attended Buffalo United Methodist Church. He and his wife Doris worked in the church and loved the Lord and enjoyed visiting folks in the nursing homes. He loved animals, working in the yard, attending the Haugh/Nixon family reunions and playing music and hunting with brothers "Bud" and "Puge". He was an Army veteran of WWII.

In addition top his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Doris L. (Miley) Haugh whom he married June 28, 1952 and passed away March 30, 2005; two brothers Charles "Bud" Haugh and Ralph "Puge" Haugh; six sisters, Margie, Lilly, Beatrice, Edith, Myrna and Mae.

He is survived by one son David (Tina) Haugh of Quaker City; one daughter Darla (Chuck) Stafford of Groveport; two twin half brothers, Bob (Joann) Haugh of Byesville and Bill (Shirley) Haugh of Pataskala; four grandchildren, Rob and Dana Haugh, Jamie Wray and Tyler Stafford; three great grandchildren, Blaze, Summer and Kelsey; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Yvonne Matus officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Cemetery with military services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
