William Lee “Bill” Morgan
1968-2014

On Sunday April 27, 2014 Bill Morgan, 45, passed away suddenly at Good Samaritan Hospital; surrounded by his family who dearly loved him. Bill was born on May 1, 1968 in Zanesville. He is the son of Phyllis (McKahan) Wycoff and Charles “Chuck” Morgan Jr.

He was a 1986 graduate of John Glenn High School where he played football and baseball. He remained a very “vocal” fan at many sporting events, not only cheering on his children, but giving support to the whole team. Everyone knows what a big Muskie supporter he was. Anyone that was blessed to know Billy knew how much he loved life, his family, and his friends. His world revolved around his wife and his children. He loved cheering on his kids in sports and every other aspect of their lives. He was so proud to be their dad.

He also enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed deer and mushroom hunting with his boys and his friends. He loved riding his motorcycle every chance he got, and playing with his beloved dogs, Miah and Suzie. Billy was also a very good friend of the Salem Baptist Church; often helping and devoting his time in restoring the cemetery. He was the owner of Morgan’s Hardscapes and Morgan’s Memorials. He believed in quality workmanship and was a stickler for perfection. He never worked a day in his life, because he loved his work so much.

Billy was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa, Harold McKahan, paternal grandpa, Charles “Bill” Morgan, a brother, Bobby Morgan, as well as Dale & Ilene Fitzgerald the grandparents of Missy, and brother-in-law, Dave Smith.

Billy leaves behind his loving wife of 20 years, Missy (Jirles) Morgan, three sons, Brandon of Cambridge, and Dallas, and Stone of the home; adaughter, Farrah (affectionately called George) of the home, his mother, Phyllis (Bill) Wycoff, of Cambridge; his father, Chuck (Carol) Morgan, of Cambridge; his In-laws Phil and Sherry Jirles, of New Concord. He also leaves to mourn two brothers, Brad (Kelli) Morgan, of New Concord; and Brock (Kerri) Morgan, of Cambridge; one sister, Krista Morgan, of New Concord; and sister-in-law, Mindy Smith, of New Concord. He is deeply missed by his nephews & nieces, whom he loved to tease, Brittany (Brickney), Morgan (Mo-Mo), Taylor (Ta-Ta), Brad (LT), Kylah (Kylah Sue) & Bain (Bainy Bo) Morgan, Micah (Rugger) & Cash (Cashy Cash) Smith, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends may call at the Farus Funeral Home (Formerly Mock-Miller Funeral Home) of New Concord on Wednesday, April 30th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 1st at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating; friends and family are welcome to arrive at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery
