Patricia Ann Perry (Boyd)
1945-2014
Cambridge --- Patricia "Pat" Ann Perry (Boyd), was called home suddenly, on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, while residing at the Red Carpet Assisted Living Facility in Cambridge. She was born May 21, 1945, in Princeton, Indiana, to Arthur and Dorothy Seals.
Patricia (Pat), was a wonderful woman with a giving heart. Her love of helping others was apparent in all she did and she served them with a smile that brought happiness to her family, friends, residents and care givers. Pat was a Baptist by faith and spent endless hours with her mother and great grandmother (Lilly) at the First Church of the Nazarene in Mt. Carmel, IL, as a child and young adult/mother.
She was once active in the Red Hat Society serving as secretary, featured as "resident of month" at Maple Heights Apartments and again at Red Carpet Rehabilitation and Care Facility. She earned a certification in Medical Office Management which led to various roles while caring for others and again leading team workers to perform with pride. As a wife and mother of six, she served her husband and soul mate, Jack Boyd of Mt. Carmel, Illinois , along with their six children with her many gifts and talents, which included art by design, gardening, a knack for seamstress work, and never to be forgotten meals and baked goods. Her love of being with family and friends was well known along with her passion for seeking out unique jewelry. Pat is predeceased by parents Arthur and Dorothy Seals, her two sons, Ronald and Kevin Boyd, and her former husband Jack Boyd. She is survived by Kim (Jim) Lafferty and their daughter, Krystal Ann Lafferty, Brian (Pam) Boyd and their sons, Kevin, Cory and Shawn, Dotty Lane and her daughters, Tara and Jackie, Tricia Hughes and her sons Justin and JR, daughter TJ, sisters, Barb (Bob) Farmer, Joyce Perry, Kathy (Ted) VanMater, and brothers, Frank (Risha) Seals, Butch and Danny Seals. She also leaves nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pat will receive her wishes of a private family ceremony and a celebration of her life in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, and be laid to rest with her husband Jack and their sons at the Oreo Cemetery while a vocalist, embellishes the ceremony with her favorite hymn "Amazing Grace" on Saturday, August 30, 2014. Pat's online tribute wall may be viewed and signed at www.bundy-lawfuneralhome.com.
