Obituaries: Forest W. "Bill" Neff

|Forest W. "Bill" Neff, 60, of Byesville passed away Friday (July 4, 2014) at Genesis Good-Samaritan.
He was born December 2, 1953 in Guernsey County and was the son of the late William R. and Margaret "Peg" (Miller) Neff.
Bill was currently the Secretary for the Fraternal Order of Eagles #386 and had previously worked at E.G. Smith and construction for many years with Miller Construction and Oglesbay Construction. He was a 1973 graduate of Meadowbrook High School and a member of Eagles Aerie #386, Moose Lodge #631, Buffalo VFW #8040. Bill was an avid fan of NASCAR, he especially enjoyed watching Dale Earnhardt Jr. & Sr., a huge football fan including the Browns and Buckeyes and also a fan of the Cincinnati Reds. Bill also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by a sister Georgiana "Gee" Stiffler and a step son James K. Kirkland.
He is survived by his wife Nancy (Fahner) Kirkland whom he married July 1987; five sons, Forest "Billy" Neff Jr. of Sebring, FL, Quentin (Jessica) Neff of Cambridge, Jason (Laura) Neff of Tavares, FL, Michael (Hope) Kirkland of Pleasant City and Jason (Trina) Kirkland of Senecaville; two daughters Amber (Rusty) Thompson and Marie (Tim) McElroy both of Cambridge; six brothers, Ralph Ross of Byesville, Chuck (Kara) Neff of Byesville, Tim (Bobbi) Neff of Loudonville, Jeff (Julie) Neff of Byesville, Harley Conrad of Cleveland and Jay Conrad of Byesville; three sisters, Amy (Gary) Mikes of Byesville, Carolyn "Sis" (Steve) Daubenspeck of Cambridge and Rhonda Fisher of Byesville; ten grandchildren, Braelyn, Ava, Paisley, Christopher, Evan, Owen, Collin, Dylan, Donnie and Jimmie; one great grandson Kyler; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and trusted dog Buckeye.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville where services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
