Associated Press

The Associated Press is the essential global news network, delivering accurate, insightful news from every corner of the world, 24 hours a day. Since its founding in 1846, AP has been the first to report many of history’s most important moments, and every day, AP journalists, photographers and videographers file news from the front lines of the world's biggest stories.

AP’s reporting, photography, audio and video are published and broadcast by the world’s leading newspapers, TV channels, apps, radio stations, websites and magazines—in fact, over half the world’s population sees AP news content on any given day.

As a leader in the field of journalism, AP fights for freedom of the press and the public’s right to know. Its reporters take great risks to file in-depth stories from countries where the press is otherwise restrained, and in the U.S., AP aggressively uses the Freedom of Information Act to advocate for transparency and accountability in government.

With more experience reporting and delivering news than any other agency, a well-earned reputation for independence and accuracy, and a fierce commitment to the people’s right to know, AP is the definitive source for trusted news.

Love's Heart Still in Cleveland

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) - Injured forward Kevin Love says he'll play for the Cavaliers next season.
Love can opt out of his contract after this season, which was ended by a left shoulder injury in the first round of the playoffs. But the three-time All-Star indicated Sunday that he intends to remain in Cleveland.
Love had not spoken to the media since his surgery. He says it has been difficult to watch his teammates advance to the finals, which start Thursday. But he's excited for them and looking forward to traveling to the games at Golden State.
He has exchanged text messages with Celtics center Kelly Olynyk, who yanked Love's arm from the socket while going for a loose ball in Game 4 of their opening-round series. Love says he doesn't hold a grudge against Olynyk.

Manziel Allegedly Throws Bottle

IRVING, Texas (AP) - Johnny Manziel threw a water bottle at a heckler in an incident that didn't lead to any arrests or charges at the AT&T Byron Nelson golf tournament.
Irving police spokesman James McLellan says the fan had been asking the Cleveland quarterback for an autograph for about two hours Saturday when an exchange escalated in the pool area at the Four Seasons resort where the PGA Tour event is held. The bottle didn't hit the fan.
Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner at Texas A&M, was recently released from a 10-week stay in rehab and is going through offseason workouts with the Browns.
McLellan said someone who was with Manziel pushed the 18-year-old fan, who police said didn't want to press charges.
