Bellaire neighborhood shaken by "shots fired"

BELLAIRE, Ohio -- Belmont County authorities say no one was injured last night when an unknown suspect fired a gun in a Bellaire neighborhood.
Bellaire Police Chief Mike Kovalyk told media outlets that, at around 4:00 p.m. on Monday, his department received severals calls of "shots fired" near the intersection of Harrison Street and 43rd Street. Witnesses at the scene said that four shots were fired from a vehicle, and that as many as three people may have been involved.
Kovalyk said that investigators collected several shell casings from the scene, and are actively pursuing several leads. He did not release any additional information, but said an investigation continues.
