Denver-based company plans two new, nearby facilities by mid-2014

NOBLE COUNTY, Ohio -- A Denver-based drilling company reports that operations at its Noble County processing plant are running smoothly as they continue construction on two more facilities.
In a report released this week, MarkWest Energy Partners outlined the progress of its first Utica Shale cryogenic gas processing plant, the Seneca Complex near Summerfield. MarkWest said that the Seneca I plant is separating natural gas liquids from dry gas at the expected rate of 200 million cubic feet per-day.
By the end of the year, MarkWest will bring on-line a second 200 million c.f.d. plant, with plans for a third such facility by mid-2014.
The Seneca Complex is supported by long-term contracts with producers such as Antero Resources, Gulfport Energy, Consol Energy and others.
The Summerfield-based facility is MarkWest’s second major processing complex in the Utica Shale. Between the Seneca Complex and Cadiz Complex, the company expects to process nearly 1 billion c.f.d. in Ohio by the end of 2014.
