Victim's name released

COSHOCTON, Ohio--The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man killed Monday morning  in what investigators believe was a hunting accident.

63-year-old Gary A. Pace of Warsaw was found dead shortly before 10:30 a.m. Monday in a tree stand near Jefferson Township Road 341, in north west Coshocton County.  Officials believe Pace died of a self-inflicted, but accidental gunshot wound.
Sheriff Tim Rogers said Pace was alone and secure in a tree stand on his own property, approximately 20 feet off the ground.  Rogers said the body was transported from the scene to the Coshocton County Coroner’s Office for further examination.  An investigation into the death is being coordinated by the ODNR and Coshocton County Sheriff's Office.
