STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (AP) - Authorities have seized more than $1.5 million in what they're calling an investigation into illegal gambling in Jefferson County.
Warrants were served at six locations in Steubenville and one each in Wintersville and Bloomingdale on Friday in the investigation by the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Steubenville Police Department.
Attorney General Mike DeWine and Steubenville Police Chief William McCafferty say the money was seized at that time. So far, no arrests have been made in conjunction with the raid.
A spokesman for the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation says the investigation is continuing.
