FAIRVIEW, Ohio -- State troopers say that drugs and cash were seized during a traffic stop in Guernsey County early Friday morning.
According to the Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol, troopers stopped a rented SUV near the Fairview exit of Interstate 70 eastbound at around 2:15 a.m. on Friday. Troopers say that three male suspects, all hailing from the Columbus area, were asked to exit the vehicle and a probable cause search was conducted. Troopers say that an unspecified amount of narcotics was recovered from the vehicle. One of the suspects was also said to be in possession of a large amount of cash.
The suspects - whose names have been withheld - were released, pending the test results of the alleged narcotics. An investigation is ongoing.
