CAMBRIDGE, Ohio -- A Kimbolton woman has been charged in connection with a drug buy-bust operation in Guernsey County.
Forty-two-year-old Shelly G. LaRue was arrested last Thursday at her Plainfield Road home after an undercover officer of the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office allegedly made multiple controlled narcotics buys from the residence. According to Capt. Jeff Paden, LaRue attempted to eat some of the evidence when confronted by deputies. Officers allegedly seized cash and a large quantity of prescription pills - specifically, Oxycodone.
Capt. Paden told AVC News that juveniles were present in the home when the raid was conducted. The children were taken from the residence and placed into a relatives' custody.
LaRue is scheduled to appear for a bond hearing in Cambridge Municipal Court on Tuesday afternoon. She remains behind bars in the Guernsey County Jail.
Paden stated the operation was another in a series of raids being conducted to combat drugs and drug trafficking in Guernsey County.
