According to detectives, the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team executed a search warrant at the home following multiple controlled buys of what is suspected to be heroin from the residence over the past few weeks. Deputies reportedly seized heroin, firearms and cash from the home. The Byesville Police assisted Sheriff's Deputies at the scene.
Charges are pending against the male suspect, who remains behind bars in the Guernsey County Jail.
A female found in the home was questioned by deputies and released. There were children in the home, as well, who were turned over to relatives.
According to Captain Jeff Paden, the raid is another step in combating the current opiate epidemic in Guernsey County.
