CALDWELL, Ohio -- Two men suspected of stealing from a Caldwell motel are in custody, following a man-hunt that included state and federal authorities.
According to Noble County Sheriff Stephen S. Hannum, 36-year-old Daniel Gleason of Columbus and 40-year-old Daryl Irvin of Zanesville were indicted by a Noble County grand jury Wednesday in connection with the May break-in at the Caldwell Days Inn motel. Gleason and Irvin are both charged with breaking-and-entering and theft.
Hannum said that the men's faces were captured clearly on the hotel's security cameras. Using those images, Hannum reached out to state and federal agencies to track down the suspects:
Noble County Sheriff's deputies located and arrested Irvin in Zanesville. Gleason is already in custody for an unrelated offense.
Irvin and Gleason allegedly entered the still-unopened Days Inn & Suites on State Route 821 in the early morning hours of May 15. The pair reportedly stole seven televisions, several vacuum cleaners and microwave ovens, exercise equipment and construction tools.
