During the July 29 raid on a Center Township residence, deputies reportedly seized more than 5,000 pills, as well as what is believed to be marijuana and heroin. Officers also recovered a large amount of cash and some firearms.
Guernsey County detectives say the pills are believed to be part of a burglary that took place from a Williamstown, West Virginia pharmacy in late June. To date, only a small percentage of the missing pills have been recovered. Investigators have reportedly recovered evidence that links a number of local suspects to that break-in.
The Guernsey County Sheriff's Office is continuing to work with authorities in Williamstown to bring a number of other suspects in for questioning.
Drug charges against a male suspect already in custody are expected to be submitted for possible indictment to the Guernsey County grand jury regarding the incident at the Center Township residence.
