CAMBRIDGE , Ohio -- Multiple city, county and state agencies converged on a business in Cambridge regarding possible public health and safety violations on Wednesday afternoon.
Officials with the City of Cambridge Code Enforcement Department, the Cambridge Fire Department, the State Fire Marshall's Office and Guernsey County Health Department were involved in an inspection of the Frisbee Motel on Dewey Avenue and reportedly found numerous health and safety code violations. City Safety Director Rocky Hill says he witnessed evidence of many violations at the facility:
Hill could not comment on any action that might be taken against the owners, as the investigation into the facility is on-going. The State Fire Marshal's Office was present to look into possible fire code violations at the business.
Officials wore haz-mat suits as they looked through rooms at the motel, some of which were inhabited. If declared a public nuisance, the motel could be shut down and could lose its operator's license.
