NORWOOD, Ohio (AP) - Former President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to be in southwest Ohio on April 1 for a book-signing event.
Carter will be at the Joseph-Beth Booksellers in the Cincinnati suburb of Norwood. The book set for release later this month by publisher Simon & Schuster is titled: "A Call to Action: Women, Religion, Violence and Power."
The 39th president and Nobel Peace Prize laureate has written books ranging from his memoirs to focusing on international issues. This book is about discrimination and human rights abuses against women and girls around the world.
The 89-year-old Georgia native will also discuss his book at the event.
CINCINNATI (AP) - Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has been released from a Cincinnati hospital where he spent the night after feeling ill while at a speaking engagement.
A DeWine spokeswoman says he is feeling much better Saturday after what was described as a bout of vertigo Friday afternoon.
The 67-year-old attorney general and longtime Ohio public figure was at a "First Friday" luncheon of business and public policy leaders when he felt ill before his scheduled talk. An ambulance took him from a downtown restaurant near Fountain Square to The Christ Hospital for evaluation.
Spokeswoman Lisa Hackley says DeWine is on his way home to Cedarville and is expected to resume a normal schedule next week.
