Thursday, December 18th the Cambridge Area Chamber will announce the 2014 Sidlo Award winner at the Business After Hours, hosted by US Bank. The Sidlo Award is named for past Chamber President, John Sidlo, who through the depression era, exuded vision and leadership to build the Chamber Membership and left quite a legacy. Criteria for consideration: Candidtate should have proven history and record of Vision, Leadership and Legacy.
The Guernsey-Noble Safety Council will meet tomorrow, December 17th at the Cambridge BWC Office near the WalMart shopping plaza. The topic for the meeting will be "Safety Jeopardy" - a recap of the year's meeting presentations. The meeting begins at 8 am.
The Guernsey-Noble Safety Council will meet Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 8 am - 10 am at the BWC office in the WalMart plaza on Southgate Parkway. Please note that this is a two-hour meeting. This is extraordinary training. Members are encouraged to bring friends and or co-workers.
Bethany Hayes, the Director of Public Safety for OUZ and Zane State College, will be presenting “Responding to Critical Incidents/ Active Killer Situations ALICE Training”.
Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate (ALICE) concepts provide insight as to what to do during critical incidents and active killer situations until law enforcement arrives on-scene. The program focuses on putting survival options into your mind beforehand instead of trying to formulate these under extreme stress. The program also focuses on crime prevention and situational awareness efforts.
The Guernsey-Noble Safety Council will meet tomorrow, May 28th at 8 am at the BWC Office in the Walmart shopping plaza. This month's topic is Drugs in the Workplace, and the speakers will be representatives from the Guernsey County Sheriff's Office.
